Theodore G. Spyropoulos Scholarship awarded last year at the Hermes Expo.

The Mid-Atlantic Greek American Foundation (MAGAF) is pleased to announce the creation of a scholarship program for Greek-American high school and undergraduate students.  Beginning this year, eight awards will be presented annually to high school seniors and undergraduate students during the Hermes Expo Awards Dinner.

High school seniors and undergraduate students from the Mid-Atlantic States (DE, MD, NJ, NY, PA, and VA) are invited to apply for this award.  Students will be asked to submit an essay regarding current events in Greece or Greek culture and history.  This year’s essay topic can be found at www.hermesexpo.com.  A board of academic advisors, led by Professor Dean Lomis, Professor Dimitri Monos, Dr. Costas Fountzoulas, Dr. Dimitrios Faller, Michael Kirifides, PhD, and George Karas will judge the entries.

MAGAF invites you to join as a member of the Eleftheria Essay Contest and help promote within your circles so students are aware of this opportunity. Committee members are asked to promote the scholarship program and identify potential donors.  In return for your generous support, your name or your business’s name will be included on all material promoting the scholarship.

Presentation of the scholarships will take place at the 2016 Hermes Expo on April 5, 2016, at the Best Western Hotel in Concordville, PA.  In its 25th year, the Hermes Expo continues to combine executive and exclusive level networking opportunities, professional development seminars, educational panels, and a trade show exhibition platform for businesses seeking to grow and expand.  These events attract business leaders from diverse industries and professional services and feature platforms for companies to showcase their products and services in front of potential customers from the United States and Europe.
