GYRO DRIVE-THRU took place twice on Fridays and Saturdays, (September 18th and 19th and October 16th and 17th) from 11 am – 7 pm each day.
The Drive-Thru’s affectionate known as “A Taste of the Greek Fest” made many people from the surrounding metropolitan Harrisburg area very appreciative that they could buy some of those delicious foods and pastries that our Greek community offers at our annual Greek Festival that could not take place this year because of COVID-19. AHEPA Chapter #64 was called upon to help with this endeavor which allowed our phone captains and membership to ask for volunteers. This was successful in acquiring many brothers who participated in this event. Nick C. Mallios, Nick J. Mallios, Bob Moehler, and Ed Ward worked very diligently in preparing the gyros for both events. Many other brothers participated in the preparations and distributions of the gyros, dolmathes, spanakopita, greek salads, and many pastries sold at the drive-thru events.
Ahepa Chapter #64 brothers who contributed in various capacities included Angelo Athanasatos, Anthony Ariano, Dr. Michael Billys, David Bobb, Sam Boutselis, John Harbilas, Bob Moeller, Nick C. Mallios, Nick J. Mallios, Nick Mallos, Christ Megoulas, Peter Megoulas, Basil Papoutsis, John Papoutsis, Jimmy Senos, George Spanos, Nick Stamos, Nick Theofanis, Hao Truong, Gregory Touloumes, Ed Ward, Dimitri Zozos, and Paul Zozos. If by chance I missed any brothers, please know you’re contributions are always appreciated and I apologize, as you know we are continually striving to benefit our fraternity and our communities in any way possible! THANKS AND BRAVO BROTHERS!
