AHI Announces Honorees for 39th Anniversary Hellenic Heritage Achievement and National Public Service Awards Dinner
Weekend’s Events Include Greek Wine Tasting at the U.S. Chamber; Policy Briefing

WASHINGTON, DC — The American Hellenic Institute (AHI) will host its 39th Anniversary Hellenic Heritage Achievement and National Public Service Awards Dinner on March 8, 2014, 6 p.m., The Capital Hilton, Washington, D.C.

At the black tie affair AHI will honor:
Jerry Couvaras, President & Chief Executive Officer, Atlanta Bread;
International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC), a nonprofit organization that offers emergency relief and development programs to those in need worldwide;
Timothy J. Maniatis, Community Leader and Association Executive, and
Paulette Poulos, Executive Director, Leadership 100.
Larry Michael, the “Voice of the Redskins” and previous AHI honoree, will be the evening’s emcee.
“We are excited about the program we have assembled for our annual awards dinner,” AHI President Nick Larigakis said. “All of our honorees have excelled in their respective professions or as an institution. We look forward to celebrating their achievements with the community.”
Weekend Events: Greek Wine-tasting Reception at U.S. Chamber; Policy Briefing

As part of the weekend’s festivities, major benefactors and supporters will receive an invitation to a wine-tasting reception featuring Greek wine producers on March 7, 2014, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the magnificent Hall of Flags at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

AHI will also host a breakfast and policy briefing on Saturday, March 8, 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., at the Capital Hilton.
