On Sunday, June 14th, the Lord Baltimore AHEPA Chapter 364, held its annual scholarship award ceremony at Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Baltimore. The scholarship program provides Greek-American youth of Baltimore a chance to pursue their academic goals and dreams. Presenting the scholarships was Vice-President Michael Mavronis. Also present were Lou Kanaras, President, Nick Forakis, Treasurer, John Gavrilis, Secretary and other distinguished members of AHEPA.
The scholarship recipients were Angela Mantzavinos, Evangelos Mantzavinos, Elizabeth Pentikis, Konstantinos Orfanos, Eleni Sabracos, Aliki Argiropoulos, Lizeta Argiropoulos, Aristea Burdusi, Evangelia Tripolitis, Samantha Kosmas, Tereza Roros, Georgios Roros, Pete Christ, Jr. and Genevia Stakias. The highest academic scholarship, the Vasilios Trintis scholarship, was awarded to Konstantinos Loukas. The Michael G. Athas scholarship was awarded to the St. Nicholas Greek School and accepted by Stamatia Ieromonahos.
