RIDLEY PARK, PA – The Premier/Crozer-Keystone Orthopedics Partnership welcomes orthopedic surgeon Richard Zamarin, M.D. to the medical staff of Taylor Hospital in Ridley Park.
Zamarin earned his medical degree and completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Hahnemann University in Philadelphia. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society.
Jeffery Malumed, M.D., president of Premier Orthopedics, speaks highly of the addition of Zamarin to the team. “Dr. Richard Zamarin comes to our office after 22 years of practice on the Main Line at Paoli Hospital, Phoenixville Hospital and Physicians Care Surgical Hospital in Limerick, PA. He does total joint replacements including hips, knees and shoulders as well as revision joint replacement surgery if needed. He has extensive experience in fracture treatment, orthopedic trauma surgery, and arthroscopic surgery of the knee, shoulder and hip. In the short time he has been at Taylor Hospital, he has performed numerous joint replacements including patients who have followed him from the Main Line. He is a great addition to our team, and will help to expand the services provided at Taylor Hospital.”
Zamarin is committed to an open doctor-patient relationship. “I believe in treating my patients the way I would like myself or my family to be treated,” he says. “It is of utmost importance to be personable and to convey a great bedside manner.”
Zamarin joined the Premier/Crozer-Keystone Orthopedics Partnership to fulfill a need for a total joint replacement surgeon in the Ridley Park community. “The best part about being an orthopedic surgeon is that I am able to restore my patients’ quality of life,” Zamarin continues. “Many times, patients come to me with a bad case of arthritis of the knee or hip and they can’t participate in family events, go shopping or do other activities they enjoy. The most rewarding thing for me is when they come in to the office for their post-op visit and they say ‘thank you,’ and tell me they are now able to do their favorite activities. I remember a patient who loved to dance and hadn’t been able to do so for years. I performed knee replacement surgery on her, and I promised her I would be her first dance when she was well enough. When she came in for her two-week post-op visit I kept my promise and gave her that first dance.”
The Premier/Crozer-Keystone Orthopedics Partnership represents the largest orthopedics specialty group in Pennsylvania and provides timely access to top surgeons in the area. This unique partnership combines skilled physicians with a comprehensive surgical and rehabilitation program at the hospitals of Crozer-Keystone Health System. It also offers a wide variety of services and procedures including joint replacement surgery, relief of spine and back pain, concussion management, sports medicine and orthopedic rehabilitation.
Zamarin is accepting new patients in his Ridley Park office, which is located at 1 Bartol Avenue, Ridley Park, PA 19078 in the Jones Building, Suite 101.
