The St. Louis Greek community is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Greek Professorship at UMSL on February 3 at 7:30 in the Millennium Student Center, Century Rooms A/B.
The Hellenic Government-Karakas Foundation Professorship in Greek Studies at UMSL is one of the oldest Professorship in Greek Studies in the US, endowed through the generosity of the St. Louis Greek-American community and the Government of Greece, with on-going financial support from the State of Missouri.
The event will include short presentations, followed by a reception with Greek food and a Greek dance performance. It will be attended by members of the Greek communities of Missouri, the Chancellor of UMSL, and the Consul General of Greece in Chicago.
