The Hellenic-American Chamber of Commerce and the Leadership Committee held the digital event “Advancing Women Leaders” with the support of the Women in Business Committee organized the event “Advancing Women Leaders”. The event, which targeted to young women, students and young workers, featured “The 7 Obstacles to Women’s Career Development” in order to reach senior management positions.
Efi Stavropoulou, Partner, Executive Coach, Linkage Greece, referred to the 7 (+1) obstacles that women face but also to the skills they must develop to overcome them. One of the key tools for developing these skills is self-confidence and how women can believe more in themselves.
As part of the event, surveys were presented according to which, women have been targeted by the pandemic crisis, as more than two million are expected to leave the workforce immediately. In 2020, the percentage of women who lost their jobs has increased compared to that of men, while one in four are seriously considering a career change.
