The work of the Conference on the Future of Europe is underway. The Conference is an opportunity for all European citizens to discuss Europe’s challenges and priorities, and to present their proposals for the future of the EU.

The European Parliament, the EU Council and the European Commission are committed to listening to European citizens and, in line with their responsibilities, to following up on the recommendations made. By the spring of 2022, the Conference is expected to reach conclusions and recommendations for the future of Europe.

With reports, interviews, videos, graphs and public debates (webinars), in collaboration with the European Parliament, the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA) presents daily the progress of the work of the Conference on the Future of Europe.

On Friday, 17 December, at 12:00, the first of a series of public debates will take place on the work of the Conference, on the topics the European Citizens’ Groups are focusing on and on the proposals that appear to be finalized and proposed to the plenary.

The Vice President of the European Parliament, Dimitris Papadimoulis, the Vice President of the EPP parliamentary group, Evangelos Meimarakis, and the Professor of the Medical School of the University of Athens and Vice-Chancellor of the Hellenic Open University, Stathis Efstathopoulos will participate. The discussion will be moderated by the president and general manager of the Athens-Macedonian News Agency, Aimilios Perdikaris.
