The Toronto Daughters of Penelope Mycenae Chapter #220, which was established on March 5, 1950 hosted a virtual Bingo night fundraiser on Sunday, January 10, 2021 via Zoom which was open to all!
We had 31 eager participants, from Canada and the US join us! Our fabulous Bingo Caller Gloria Heropoulos made the game fun! We played three games including Outside Picture Frame, Letter “X” and Coverall. Prizes included two $25 and one $50 pre-paid Visa gift cards. The proceeds will benefit Chapter charities including the Hellenic Home for the Aged in Toronto, Greek Orthodox Family Services and Counselling – Violence Against Women Program, and the Melissa Orphanage in Thessaloniki, Greece.
We were honored to have DOP District 23 Governor Dr. Xanthe Vafopoulou, Lt. Governor Angela Mouriopoulos, Treasurer and Past Canadian President Betty Drakontaidis, Maids Advisor Kathy Dimou, Past Canadian AHEPA President Tony Mavromaras, AHEPA Region 3 Past Supreme Governor George Karatzia and AHEPA District 6 Secretary Chris Pappis join us.
The 2020-2021 officers are President Phyllis Smilis, Vice President Gloria Heropoulos, Corresponding Secretary Dr. Mirka Lychnakis, Recording Secretary Soula Neophotistos and Treasurer Eleni Agas.
We greatly appreciate everyone’s donations and support for this special cause. It was a fun night seeing each other and enjoying time together, in these days of social distancing, and we look forward to the next time! Wishing you all a Happy New Year!
