Deposits placed by households and private non-profit institutions increased by 94 million euros in August, compared with an increase of 787 million in the previous month; the annual growth rate stood at 9.7 pct from 9.8 pct in the previous month.
Τhe monthly net flow of total deposits was positive by 1,622 million euros, compared with a positive net flow of 1,110 million in July 2021.
In August 2021, deposits placed by the general government increased by 142 million, compared with a decrease of 730 million in the previous month; the annual growth rate stood at -15.7 pct, compared with -19.2 pct in the previous month.
The annual growth rate of total credit extended to the domestic economy stood at 13.5 pct in August 2021, compared with 13.8 pct in the previous month. Τhe monthly net flow of total credit was positive by 954 million, compared with a positive net flow of 687 million in the previous month.
