(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA)
— Register now for Launch Your Career Comeback, a workshop for women that begins Tuesday, September 19 and ends Tuesday, November 21. This 10-week workshop runs on Tuesdays from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Delaware County Community College’s Marple Campus (901 S. Media Line Road, Media, PA).

Many women leave the workforce to provide care for children or other relatives.  Some work part-time jobs with flexible hours to accommodate family schedules.  At some point, they may experience the desire to re-launch themselves into full-time, meaningful employment.  Re-launching a career can seem challenging and overwhelming after time away, however, Launch Your Career Comeback will help ease such a transition.

Participants will receive support, personal attention and a structured approach to career planning and decision-making. They will also explore their strengths and possible career options, develop a career-action plan, create a resume, develop a LinkedIn Profile and practice effective interviewing skills. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator personality test is used extensively and is included in the price of the workshop.

The workshop is facilitated by Susan Miller, a counselor in the College’s Career and Counseling Center, and Peggy Schils, a licensed professional counselor and counselor in the Career and Counseling Center.  Miller and Schils both hold master’s degrees in counseling and have extensive experience working with women and their career issues as well as with job search techniques for unemployed adults.
