Education and Religion Minister Niki Kerameus in an interview with Athens-Macedonian News Agency on Sunday referred to the evaluation of the teachers which begins οn Monday.
“For the first time after 41 years begins the horizontal personal evaluation of the teachers, a key improvement tool for the teachers, οf the tools we offer to our children, and of the education in total” stated Kerameus adding that the specific measures “is being used for many years in the majority of the European countries for purely improvement reasons”.
On the reactions against the evaluation in the education community, she said that there were reactions and reservations in the beginning but over time “more and more teachers are positive”.
She underlined that the Ministry and the teachers have the same target “our teachers to improve and to offer more and better tools to our children”.
