The Greek island of Milos has attracted even the most distant markets, such as India, Australia and America. Recently, the Cycladic island was highlighted once again for its alternative possibilities through the Indian travel website Outlook Traveler and was included among the 10 best Greek islands for “its unique rock formations and sandy beaches.”
Outlook Traveler is India’s most widely read travel magazine and website with significant influence on travel choice.
However, Milos was also included among the Greek islands recommended by the Australian magazine Signature Luxury Travel.
“The volcanic island of Milos is renowned for its lunar-like landscape of hard black lava rock and soft white tufa stone, which form a spectacular coastline of cliffs lapped by turquoise waters that supply superb seafood. The Louvre’s marble Venus de Milos statue came from here. Experts say she’s not Venus, but the goddess Aphrodite moulded as the ideal embodiment of the female form,” it said.
