The Greek Foreign Ministry condemned the desecration of the Greek Orthodox Cemetery of Agios Eleftherios in the district of Tatavla (Kurtuluş), in Costantinople, calling on the Turkish authorities to take appropriate action against this heinous act.
“We unequivocally condemn the desecration of the Greek Orthodox Cemetery of Agios Eleftherios, at Tataoula, Costantinople, which insults the memory and history of the Greek minority in Turkyie. We call on the Turkish authorities to do the right thing against this heinous act,” according to the foreign ministry.
