Minister of Civil Protection, Takis Theodorikakos, in an interview with ANT1 TV on Tuesday sent a strong message that Greece will not allow anyone to enter the territory illegally.

The minister also referred to the phenomenon of juvenile delinquency which escalates, but also to the clashes during the final of the Football Cup in the Athens Olympic Stadium (OAKA), stressing that “the arrests are not over”.

Regarding the Turkish attempts to instrumentalise once again the illegal migrants at our land and sea borders, Theodorikakos noted:

“As far as Evros is concerned, there is pressure all these months. Everyone inside and outside the borders must know that the Greek Police and the Armed Forces are protecting the integrity of the country. We will not allow anyone to enter Greece illegally. Neither in Evros nor in our islands and let everyone realise this… The country, the prime minister and the government as a whole, with respect to the international law, are defending our national interests in a very stable way.”
