Greek National Defence Minister Nikos Panagiotopoulos and his German counterpart Christine Lambrecht on Friday agreed to facilitate the consignment of armored vehicles to Ukraine.
In this context, Greece will give Ukraine 40 BMP-1 tanks, then receive as many Marder-type tanks from Germany.
The agreement follows the decision of Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to support Ukraine’s defense against Russia’s continued aggression.
