We hope you all had a great summer!

The October SAT test is quickly approaching, and college application deadlines are right around the corner. In an effort to keep the train moving, our Hellenic Hearts Educational Guidance Program (EGP) team has put together a College Admissions Workshop on Saturday, October 21st.

This program aims to assist local high school juniors and seniors in two vital areas of college admissions: (1) college essay writing, and (2) the college application process. The agenda for the day is included below along with how to register for the event. The deadline to register for the event and submit your essay submission is Saturday, October 14, one week before the event. You do not have to submit an essay in advance, but it is strongly encouraged.

Saturday, October 21
8:30 am to 2:00 pm
 
Registration & Essay Submission Instructions:
– Complete the registration form at https://hellenichearts.org/egp/college-admissions-workshop/
– Submit your essays to [email protected]. Essay prompts are available on the Workshop homepage.
 
Agenda
8:30 – 9:15       Registration & Opening Remarks
9:15 – 10:00     College Application Presentation
10:00 – 10:30   Student break-out sessions (Parent Q&A session)
10:30 – 10:45   Break
10:45 – 11:30   Essay Presentation
11:30 – 12:30   One-on-One Essay Session (review draft or brainstorming session)
12:30 – 2:00     Lunch and Networking: Volunteers will be available to students and interested in continuing discussions about admissions essays or the Common Application
