Hellenic Hearts is proud to announce their newest division, the Educational Guidance Program (“EGP”)

EGP is dedicated to providing education-to-career guidance to Hellenic American Youth. Do you want to go to college but aren’t exactly sure how to get there or what you want to do when you get there? Are you a parent who could use some information about the college selection/application process or want to ensure that your child has every possible opportunity to become successful in their future? If you or your child are ready to step into college, but need some guidance through the process, EGP is here to help you!

EGP’s Inaugural Mentoring Event – April 22nd at St. Demetrios Upper Darby

For all Hellenic-American Students or Parents with Children in grades 6-12:

The deadline to register for the Hellenic Hearts EGP Inaugural Mentoring Event is fast approaching! At this event, students will have the opportunity to speak with our EGP advisers from varying professions and backgrounds to gain the crucial knowledge for how to excel in middle/high school and make well-informed decisions when it comes to higher education.

For our parents who constantly stress about how their children are performing in school, are concerned with the prospect of their child getting into a good college, or how to even begin to pay for it, don’t worry, we have all the information you need. We have panel discussions with representatives from all the major Philadelphia universities to provide you with vital information in regards to the admissions process, financial aid/scholarships, and will address any and every other concern you may have.

Register now for our event at the link below. The event will be at St. Demetrios in Upper Darby on April 22nd from 9:30am – 3pm (breakfast and lunch will be provided)

Note: For your child to participate in our FREE SAT tutoring program, it is required that they attend this event

9:30am – Breakfast & Adviser Mentoring session sign-ups

  • 10:00am – Hellenic Hearts Introductions & Welcome
  • 10:30–11:00am Last-Call for Adviser Mentoring session sign-ups
  • 11am – 1pm:
    • Parents
      • Panel #1: College Representative Discussion with Moderator (5-6 Representatives from 5-6 of the major Universities in the Philadelphia area)
      • Panel #2: Financial Aid presentation and Q&A (FAFSA, Grants, Scholarships)
    • Students – Mentoring sessions with EGP Advisers
  • 1:00pm – Lunch
  • 2:00pm – Keynote Speaker: Former Comcast CFO Cathy Avgiris
  • 3:00pm – Farewell
