RE: Hellenic Studies Center at the University of Rhode Island (URI)
Dear Governor Raimondo,
As a signatory, I whole-heartedly support the Greek American Community of RI and New England, for sustaining this project since its inception and being committed to its completion, both financially and culturally. The larger Greek American community within the U.S.A. has supported Paideia/URI Center for Hellenic Studies with generosity throughout the process, anticipating its ultimate completion. As well, this project’s completion will afford appreciation by our culture and other cultures as to the contribution of Greek philosophy to our Democratic Republic & Western civilization’s birth.
This facility is a gift to the URI students & faculty, RI residents and tourists, providing open air theater, educational building with classrooms, library, student center, offices, Chapel of St. Luke, and its supporting infrastructure.
We respectfully request that this project be allowed to be completed.
We the undersigned Residents of RI and New England
The citizen’s voice
