The Ambassador of Israel to Greece Noam Katz expressed his gratitude for the public support and solidarity he received from the Greeks, the Greek government and from the whole political spectrum, in an interview with Athens-Macedonian News Agency.
He said that the Greek government expressed its support to Israel and to its right to self defence and condemned Hamas and its atrocities adding that they received support from the whole political spectrum except of a very small minority” Katz said.
The Israeli Ambassador referred to the strategic friendship between Greece and Israel underlining that they have excellent relations.
Gatz explained that Israel’s war is only against Hamas stating that this terrorist army can’t remain in its place because if we do not dismantle it, it is likely to perform more similar actions adding that “Hamas is an organisation like ISIS”.
He also expressed his certainty that Israel is strong and will win “We must liberate Gaza from Hamas’ occupation”.
