This Saturday, September 28th, at 2 PM, friends and community members are coming together for a meaningful event at SoulCycle Roslyn, and we need your support! Our dear friend Nancy Papaioannou will be participating in a bike ride to raise awareness and funds for the “Like A Daisy” foundation, an initiative close to our hearts.

The “Like A Daisy” foundation was established in honor of Samantha Eliades, who, at 34 years old, faced the challenges of Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) with unwavering resilience and a bright spirit. Tragically, Samantha passed away unexpectedly from a pulmonary embolism on September 28, 2023, leaving a profound impact on her family and community. Her journey exemplified courage, humor, and the power of love, inspiring all who knew her.

In the wake of this tremendous loss, Samantha’s family has launched the “Like A Daisy” foundation to uplift and enhance the lives of individuals in the special needs community. The foundation aims to organize social events, advocate for specialized care, and provide essential support to families navigating similar challenges. The upcoming “Like A Daisy” Kick-Off Event holds special significance, as it will take place on the anniversary of Samantha’s passing, serving as a celebration of her life and the legacy she leaves behind.

Each rider, including Nancy, has set a goal to raise $500 in endorsements for this vital cause. By participating in this ride, we can collectively honor Samantha’s memory while supporting a foundation dedicated to making a difference.
