Former NH Democratic Party Chairman Chris Spirou Forms Draft Committee To Urge Hillary Clinton To Run For President


Manchester, NH [February, 20, 2013] – Chris Spirou, a long time New Hampshire political leader, strategist and activist, announced that he has filed a draft committee with the New Hampshire Secretary of State urging Hillary Clinton to run for President in the 2016 New Hampshire Presidential Primary Election.

The name of the draft committee is: In 2016, Run Hillary Run.

The purpose of this draft committee is to recruit New Hampshire supporters of Hillary Clinton to urge her to enter the first in the nation NH Presidential Primary in 2016.


The committee will soon launch a website with the domain name, to gather New Hampshire supporters who would urge Hillary Clinton to run for president. The website will also give the opportunity for Hillary supporters outside of New Hampshire to sign on urging voters here in New Hampshire to join the Hillary draft movement.


The Draft Committee will be chaired by Chris Spirou. He will be organizing a network to recruit and solicit New Hampshirites to join the Committee.


“I was a strong supporter of Hillary Clinton in the 2008 NH Presidential Primary Election,” said Spirou. “I would stand by her again in 2016 and I invite all her supporters around our great state and beyond to join me in urging her to run in 2016.”

“The time has come to elect the first female President of the United States. It is only fitting that it be Hillary Clinton. To my friend Hillary I say, In 2016, Run Hillary Run,” declared Spirou.


Chris Spirou is the former Chair of the New Hampshire Democratic Party. He served as Chairman of the Party during Bill Clinton’s historic run for President in 1992. Spirou served as the NH House Democratic Leader for 10 years. In 1984, Chris Spirou was the Democratic nominee for Governor of New Hampshire.
