It was a special day for over 100 students from Nether Providence School District to meet and
hear from Veterans, just like everyone attending got to see the reaction of the students
going through the Delco Veterans Memorial Education Program chaired by Linda Houldin.
Adults and children alike were mesmerized meeting Wild Bill Guarnere’s son Gene as well as
Congressional Medal of Honor recipient William Hilton, one of the 2015 Freedom Medal Honorees and
all the other veterans in attendance with special thanks to MCL Smedley D Butler Detachment.
Remember, you’re invited to be part of November 1 Festivities for D-Day Again at Rosemont College at 4pm.
Veterans, Family and Friends all free.
Freedom Medal Honorees from 2014 and 2015 in attendance will be recognized that afternoon from stage.
Then of course, November 12th, the big night for Freedom Medal honorees.
If you have additional guests or need extra tickets, they are still available.
