In a joyful initiative supported by Dr. Anastasios Kourlamanis, Director of Greek Education of the Holy Archdiocese, Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church is excited to announce the introduction of two new Hellenic language and cultural programs:
-Modern Conversational Greek for Adults, sponsored by Ahepa Ramapo Chapter #453.
-The Greek Cultural Heritage Program at the Young Scholars Academy (YSA) preschool.
The Modern Conversational Greek classes will commence in the first week of October and will be directed by Dr. Eliana Vassiliou Antoniou from William Paterson University, along with her daughter, Evva. These dedicated instructors will generously share their expertise to enrich our community’s connection to the Greek language and culture.
Additionally, the Young Scholars Academy, operated independently by parishioner Teri Limperopulos, will feature two Greek-American instructors and a Greek-American teacher’s aide, serving the parish and surrounding Bergen County area.
A promotional flyer with further details on both programs is available. The Modern Greek Language Afternoon School for Children is also in full operation, with classes held on Friday afternoons under the leadership of Principal Ms. Popi Zanakis and dynamic Directors Ms. Angela Rokkos Bachardy and Ms. Maria Moutafis.
