REGISTRATIONS CONTINUE WITH PARTICIPATION FROM 13 COUNTRIES!
The top mountain running race The North Face Zagori Mountain Running is prepared to welcome the elite mountain running athletes!
Professional and amateur athletes will run to discover their limits, in the beautiful trails of Tymfi and Zagori, on July 24th-26th 2015!
Registrations continue with an undiminished interest from Greece and abroad! More than 1,300 athletes have already responded positively to the call of the organizers. Participations in the TERA race of 80km have exceeded all expectations since registrations are now closed for this route. Similarly, registrations in the marathon route of 42km are moving rapidly, since a very short number of participations have been left. The most massive participation is recorded in the 21km and 10km routes that will also continue within the month of July.
The sports tourism award-winning event, that every year surpasses itself and carries the sports spirit across the borders of our country, has already raise the interest of many foreign athletes. The participation of foreign athletes is already focused on 13 countries. These include participants from countries such as: USA, Australia, Argentina, England, Germany, Israel, Italy, Norway, Belgium, Netherlands, Sweden, Poland and Albania.
The top mountain runners couldn’t miss the 5th edition of this race that set their appointment this year in order to accomplish their personal distinction. In men, the list includes names such as Theodorakakos, Kalofyris, Giovanelli, Arkoumanis, Kostopoulos, Stefanis, Kourkourikis and Dialektos. In women, the list includes the following top participants Kalogirou, Baratsa, Papapostolou, Bika and Tziatzia.
The magical routes to be crossed by all participants bring the personal signature of the organizers. The start and finish of the 80km route will take place at Tsepelovo on Saturday 25/07 (with a 5,000 meters positive altitude). On the same day, the 42km route will also take place with a start at Kipoi, Zagori and a finish at Tsepelovo. On Sunday 26/07, the action is transferred again at Kipoi, Zagori, for the 21km and 10km races. The North Face Zagori Mountain Running never stops innovating, since all athletes who manage to finish on time the 80km and 42km routes will receive besides their medal, the specially designed by the organizers, finisher T-shirt!
