SPRINGFIELD, Pa. — The Crozer-Keystone Health Network is pleased to announce that obstetrician/gynecologist Theresa Burcher, M.D. has joined the practice of Crozer-Keystone Women’s Health at Silverside, in Wilmington, Del., and is currently accepting new patients.
Dr. Burcher earned her medical degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine, Toledo, Ohio. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. Her areas of special interest include global health as well as laparoscopic procedures and minimally invasive vaginal surgeries.
Dr. Burcher is passionate about issues that affect women’s health. She strives to be a strong advocate for policies that support and improve the overall health of women ─ both domestically and internationally, and works to increase the rate of mothers who breastfeed their babies. Dr. Burcher enjoys traveling and experiencing different cultures. She has lived on three continents and has traveled to many different countries. She is also a proud mother.
Dr. Burcher believes that the patient-physician relationship is an important foundation for excellent medical care. It is important that her relationship with her patients is one of mutual respect, honesty, openness and understanding of their experiences and goals. Cultivating this relationship will allow a partnership to provide individualized and evidence-based care for optimal patient satisfaction. Dr. Burcher’s professional memberships include the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, American Medical Association, National Medical Association, and Doctors of America.
