Visitors to Greek museums increased by 82 percent in December 2022 in comparison with the same month in 2021. Meanwhile, receipts were up 80.3% and free admission visitors were up 77.8 percent in the month, the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) said on Tuesday.
In the period January-December 2022, the number of visitors was up 126.5%, free admission visitors were up 131.5% while receipts increased by 124.9% (taking into account the gradual suspension of their operation during lockdowns to restrict the spread of Covid-19 in the period between November 2020 – May 2021).
