In a post on Twitter on Thursday, President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou referred to International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
She noted: “Today, on International Holocaust Remembrance Day and the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, we honour the millions of victims of the Nazi horror and renew our commitment that the darkness of antisemitism and racism will never again prevail.”
At noon, the President of the Republic will go to the Holocaust Memorial of Greek Jews in Thiseio to attend the event for the Day of Remembrance of Greek Jewish Martyrs and Heroes of the Holocaust.
