New York – On Jan. 29, Digital Journal was afforded the distinct pleasure to dive at Ooviña Latin Tapas and Wine Bar in New York City, and it was absolutely phenomenal in every way.
One’s bucket list in life is not complete until they visit this Latin restaurant in the heart of Manhattan. It has authentic Latin food and wines from all of the world.
Their grilled calamari was tender and served with pepperoncini aioli and green salad. Their “Bistec” is grilled skirt steak with plantains and rice and kale. All of their dishes had an exquisite presentation to them.
For fans of vegetarian cuisine, their “Queso Frito” is pan-fried cheese with mango; moreover, their Brussels sprouts were roasted in champagne butter and herbs, and their hand-cut papas fritas were seasoned with Parmesan cheese and herbs. Their stuffed meatballs with Parmesan cheese were sheer perfection.
Their flan brûlée is a savory delight for dessert, coupled with raspberry, and it will leave their patrons yearning for more.
The Verdict
Overall, Ooviña Latin Tapas and Wine Bar was an exceptional eatery, and one of the finest that the borough of Manhattan has to offer. Latin cuisine never tasted any better. Everybody from the waiters, chef, to the experienced bartenders to the owners were all professional, friendly and accommodating. It is highly recommended for patrons of all ages and especially those who enjoy gluten-free cuisine. Ooviña garners an A+ rating.
