The 88th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF) opened its doors on Saturday, September 7th, 2024.
Greece’s largest trade event and one of the leading business and industry fairs in Southeastern Europe, the TIF hosted more than 1,300 exhibitors from 25 countries and 9 wide-ranging thematic events, presenting the most innovative aspects of the economy and the market. Germany was this year’s honored country, while the United Kingdom, Qatar, Japan, Ecuador, Kosovo and Sub-Saharan African countries participated for the first time.
This year’s program showcased an enhanced international character, focusing on contemporary challenges and critical sectors of the economy, while emphasizing technological innovation and sustainability. The European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) celebrated its 70th anniversary with an exhibition titled “From Research to Our Everyday Life,” showcasing the incredible achievements and contributions of CERN in the realms of particle physics and scientific discovery.
