The cruise ship “Azamara Onward” docked in the port of Thessaloniki on Wednesday morning, carrying 410 passengers – more than half of whom were Britons and Americans – from the Greek city of Kavala.
The cruise ship, which also has a staff of 408, will remain in Thessaloniki for 12 hours and depart for the island of Mykonos at 20:00 in the evening.
The Malta-flagged ship has 278 cabins, is 592 feet long, 84 feet wide and weighs 30,277 tonnes. It has five restaurants, eight bars and lounges, as well as shops and gym facilities.
Apart from “Azamara Onward” the port of Thessaloniki expects another six cruise ships to dock in August, with two arriving on the same day on August 20.
