Actress, theatrical producer and translator Nonika Galinea died on Friday, just a few days before her 85th birthday. Galinea had received the “Kyveli” award in 2006 for her services to Greek theatre.
She was the first Greek actress who performed in English at Covent Garden in London and the only actress to play the lead role six times in plays performed at the Athens Concert Hall ‘Megaron’.
