By Dean Moskos, District 6 Lt. Governor

The AHEPA Family has a longstanding tradition of spreading Christmas cheer to the children of Saint Basil Academy in Garrison, NY. Because of the Coronavirus pandemic restrictions, AHEPA was not able to host a Christmas party for the children; however, the District 6 Lodge carried on the tradition of presenting gifts to the children on December 30, 2020.

In addition to the District Lodge, special thanks to the AHEPA Constantine Cassis, Hempstead, Chapter #170, and to the Daughters of Penelope Pasithea, Hempstead, Chapter #141, who without being asked, both chapters raised funds to partially offset the cost of purchasing the gifts, and to AHEPA Gold Cost Chapter #456, Manhasset, Vice President Bro. Gus Constantine who purchased one gift. See photo below of Lt. Governor Dean Moskos (at right) presenting the gifts to some of the children with Saint Basil Academy’s Director of Development Mr. Evan Whitson (at left).
