All deputies in the Greek parliament (300) signed up to speak during the debate on censure against the government on Tuesday evening, prompting Parliament President Constantine Tassoulas to set out a tight schedule for the coming days.
The motion of censure was tabled by PASOK-KINAL jointly with main opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance, Nea Aristera, and Plefsi Eleftherias.
Tassoulas said that deputies would be speaking on Tuesday night (March 26) until 03:00 on Wednesday, without break.
On Wednesday, debate will begin at 09:00 and continue without break to early on Thursday morning.
On Thursday, debate will begin at 09:00, with the goal being to start the roll-call vote electronically around 20:00-21:00, Tassoulas said.
Before voting, speeches will wrap up with party leaders addressing parliament in reverse order (depending on the number of their party’s seats), concluding with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
