The President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Anastasiadis, briefed the European leaders about the latest developments in the Cyprus issue, said government’s spokesman Marios Pelekanos.

Speaking to the media, Mr. Pelekanos said that “at today’s EU-Western Balkans Summit, it was emphasized that the partners of the Western Balkans must be committed to their reform efforts. The President of the Republic, on the sidelines of the Summit, had the opportunity to brief European leaders on developments in the Cyprus issue and on the illegal actions taken by Turkey and the Turkish Cypriot side both at sea and on the territory of the Republic of Cyprus.”
