Following the successful conclusion of the 9th International Chian Convention, the United Chiako Associations of America & Canada (UCAAC) proudly acknowledges the exceptional contribution made by Michael and Robin Psaros. The generous donation of 2000 trees for reforestation has not only exemplified their commitment to environmental sustainability but also serves as a testament to the spirit of community and unity that the convention embodies.

Members of the UCAAC, including Supreme President Dimitri Kalafatis, Past Supreme Presidents Stefanos Bouboulis and Dimitri Kontolios, in collaboration with the Volunteer Fire Brigades of Ionia and Lithi, actively participated in nurturing the growth of these trees recently planted in South Chios. The hands-on involvement of these esteemed individuals reinforces the bond between the Chios Societies and their dedication to fostering positive change.

Furthermore, a special tribute was paid to George Amygdalos, a driving force behind raising awareness in America about the needs of firefighters in Chios. In recognition of his steadfast dedication, Amygdalos was honored with the presentation of an icon of Agia Markella, symbolizing his remarkable contribution and unwavering support.

The 9th International Chian Convention not only celebrated cultural heritage and camaraderie but also demonstrated the power of collective action to drive positive change.
