At least 32 people were killed and more than 85 were injured when a passenger train collided with a freight train late on Tuesday, in Tempi, central Greece, near the city of Larissa, the Greek Fire Service said.
Out of the 85 injured persons, 53 still remain in hospital, according to the spokesperson of the Fire Service, Vassilis Vathrokogiannis.
Rescue workers continue the search for survivors focusing on the first two carriages of the passenger train.
Meanwhile, Health Minister Thanos Plevris is visiting the hospitals where the injured were transferred.
