Dear Friends of the Mid Atlantic Greek American Foundation and the Hellenic News of America,

In the last few years, the economic crisis has affected many of our compatriots in Greece and amongst them, organizations that support many needy people in Epiros, Greece.

MAGAF and The «Hellenic News of America» undertake the responsibility to organize three events, with the aim to collect funds and support (this time) five specific organizations that benefit so many people in need, in Epiros.

We already planned the three major events, featuring the Music of EPIROS, performed by Epirotans, the renowned singers Savvas Siatras and Stavros Theodorou, the fine clarinet players George Bezanis and Christos Haliyiannis, under the auspices of George Rabos Orchestra. We are moved and thank all of them, for the donation of their exceptional talents.

The three events will be held at the Concordville Inn on January 15, 2016, greater Philadelphia, at the Cretan House «Omonoia» in New York, January 16 and at the Ikaros Restaurant in Baltimore-Washington Area on January 17, 2016.

Thanks for reading Hellenic News of America

The entrance fee will be at the $75 pp donation and $750 for a table of 10 people. Our goal is to raise $50,000 that will be distributed to the following organizations: The Orphanage and Elderly House in Konitsa, the Orphanage «Kivotos» in Pogonianni, the Iera Moni Sosinou in Parakalamos, the Cultural Society Demos Pogoniou and the Orphanage of Deropolis in Northern Epiros.

With the attached letter-invitation, we are asking for your willingness to participate as an individual, business or organization and get your tickets and or tables in advance or become a sponsor of an event, in order to reach our fund raising goal of $50,000 and help defray the transportation and lodging costs of the artists.

We are calling upon all of our friends, Epirotans and their friends, Hellenes and Phil Hellenes, Greek Americans and Americans, all the heads and Boards of the organizations to help us make a difference in Epiros.
