The President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Anastasiadis, had a telephone conversation with the Chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkel. During their conversation, President Anastasiadis had the opportunity to report extensively on the latest developments in the Cyprus issue, including the delay in the appointment of a UN special envoy, as well as the ongoing Turkish challenges, both in the Cypriot sea zones.
The President of the Republic asked the German Chancellor to exert her influence to resume the process of talks on the Cyprus issue within the defined framework, but also of ending and reversing all illegal actions of Turkey.
