The Daughters of Penelope (DOP), a preeminent international women’s organization, is proud to have participated at the Ideagen Global Acceleration Summit. Grand President Marianthi Treppiedi and Supreme President Savas C. Tsivicos joined with the AHEPA family’s leadership at the Ideagen Global Acceleration Summit held at the NASDAQ headquarters in Times Square, New York City last week. During the Summit, Grand President Marianthi Treppiedi joined Supreme President Savas Tsivicos in a panel discussion speaking on the topic of volunteerism and the global goals of the AHEPA family and UN.

The mission of the Summit is to foster new partnerships and clearly define the impact and power they hold. This summit serves as a platform to address global challenges and foster meaningful dialogues for a better future.
“Ideagen was proud to host the 2023 Global Acceleration Summit, which brought together a diverse group of organizations and individuals from across the world to share their initiatives and success stories in the pursuit of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals. Through this event, we aimed to highlight the challenges faced by different sectors and communities and discuss how we can work together to overcome them,” said Ideagen Founder and CEO George Sifakis.
Grand President Marianthi had the honor of accepting the 2023 Ideagen Global Impact Award on behalf of the Daughters of Penelope at the Permanent Mission of Greece to the United Nations hosted by his His Excellency The Hon. Evangelos Sekeris.
“Volunteerism is an instrumental part of the AHEPA and Daughters of Penelope’s mission as the organizations rely on volunteers to not only engage people to become involved in philanthropic, educational, and charitable activities but also to serve as a bridge to foster enhanced relations between countries, sometimes in a Track Two diplomacy role or through people-to-people ties. The Daughters of Penelope continues to be a proud sponsor of Ideagen and its programming. I thank all of our Daughters of Penelope volunteers and the Maids of Athena and Sons of Pericles members who helped volunteer for the Summit,” said Grand President Treppiedi.
