WASHINGTON, DC – The Daughters of Penelope (DOP), a leading international service organization comprised of women of Hellenic heritage and Philhellenes, kicked off the New Year by launching a national project series which will include weekly webinars on each of their national projects. The second webinar of the series was about Limbitless Solutions and live streamed on Thursday, January 21, with Limbitless Branding Director Mrudula Peddinti and Limbitless Chief Financial Officer Nat Jones.

Ms. Peddinti leads the creation of visual arts, branding, storytelling, user experience, and digital media projects for Limbitless Solutions and gave an in-depth, informative presentation on what Limbitless does inside and outside the lab for children in need of a prosthetic arm. Mr. Jones gave a breakdown of the costs associated with personalized bionics and how the support of the Daughters of Penelope has helped support the goals and mission of Limbitless Solutions.

Limbitless Solutions is a non-profit organization devoted to bringing volunteers and technology to the kids who need it most. Limbitless Solutions is devoted to building a generation of innovators who use their skills and passion to improve the world around them. The organization uses additive manufacturing to advance personalized bionics and solutions for disabilities. Limbitless Solutions believes that no family should have to pay for their child to receive an arm.

“Our Limbitless team works closely with each child and their families, combining art and engineering to make an arm personalized to them. We found that the children receiving the bionic arms wanted to stand out and that by giving the children the ability to design their own arms gave them a sense of ownership and belonging. We noticed a change in the way children interacted with the world after receiving their bionic arm. Our hope is to empower each bionic kid through these expressive bionics,” said Peddinti.
