Our country has a long tradition in maritime shipping and the relevant studies open up professional opportunities. The University of Piraeus and the Hellenic Naval Academy, the two institutions with the longest tradition in the field of shipping, jointly organize the Inter-institutional Postgraduate Program“Marine Science & Technology Management”with specializations on “Management and Economics in Marine Science”and “Management in Naval Technology”.
The English-language Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program “MSc in Shipping & Sea Transports: Economics & Politics” is a new program which combines teaching elements from three distinct yet interrelated scientific fields: Economics of Sea Transport and Shipping, Logistics, and International Relations. The MA in Black Sea and Eastern Mediterranean Studies is offered by the School of Humanities, Social Sciences and Economics of the University Center of International Programs of Studies of the International Hellenic University. The new Interdepartmental Postgraduate Studies Program “Greek Alphabetic Scripts” is organized by Department of Greek Philology of Democritus University of Thrace in collaboration with the Department of Philology of N.KU.A.Its subject is the systematic and thorough study of the texts of Greek antiquity, mainly literary, delivered on papyrus and other related writing bodies (shells, wooden tablets, textiles, etc.), manuscripts and inscriptions. The Department of Greek Philology (D.G.P.) of the Democritus University of Thrace (D.U.T.H.) offers a Postgraduate Program of Studies (P.M.S.) entitled “Texts and Culture”, which is governed by scientific consistency and aims both at promoting the philological education of postgraduate students and at developing specific scientific research.
