International recording artist Deborah Myers chatted with HNA’s Markos Papadatos about her music, touring with Mario Frangoulis, and her inspirations.
On her music and songwriting inspirations, Myers said, “I am inspired by the universe and positive energy and how best we can protect this for generations to come.”
Regarding her future plans, she shared, “I am singing for the incredible Horatio Alger Association in Washington, D.C., next week. They give hope and life changing opportunities to disenfranchised communities which inspires me.”
On being an artist in the digital age, now with streaming and technology being so prevalent, she said, “I believe streaming has truly democratized the industry and has been a life saver for Artists and Songwriters due to the direct connection with your fanbase.”
For young and aspiring artists, she said, “Be driven and keep pushing and be persistent.”
Myers listed Andrea Bocelli as her dream duet choice in the music business. “Andrea Bocelli as his voice and his energy move me,” she said.
She went on to share some of her career-defining moments. “Touring Greece with Mario Frangoulis at the start of my career gave me the most wonderful Greek fanbase who have stood by me for decades,” she said.
On her definition of the word success, Myers said, “Being at peace and harmony with myself and inspired by the world around me and spending time with my gorgeous husband and three incredible children.”
For her fans, Myers concluded, “Stay tuned as exciting plans are ahead.”
