Debris has been found at the site where a Hellenic Airforce F-4 military aircraft crashed into the sea on Monday, 25 miles south of Andravida, while the search and rescue operation to find the two pilots that fell with the plane continued.
Two AB-205 Air Force helicopters, an S-70 Hellenic Navy helicopter and a number of Coast Guard vessels were sent to the area where the fighter plane fell, while a C-130 aircraft was placed on standby.
According to sources, the two-seater aircraft of the 338 Squadron of the 117 Combat Wing was carrying out a training flight when it fell.
