Greek National Defense Minister Nikos Dendias concluded a two-day official visit to the United Arab Emirates on Thursday.
On Wednesday, Dendias met with UAE Foreign Affairs Minister, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al Nahyan, at Abu Dhabi. He also paid a visit to the Emirates’ Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy, where he met with Director General Nickolay Mladenov and Deputy Director-General, Dr Mohammed Al Dhaheri.
On Thursday, the Greek minister laid a wreath at the memorial commemorating the UAE’s heroes, and then met with his counterpart, Minister for Defense Affairs Mohammed Ahmed Al Bawardi. They discussed further enhancing the strategic defense relationship between the two countries, the security situation in the wider East Mediterranean region and the Gulf, and the promotion of bilateral collaboration in defense industry and technology.
