Deputy Foreign Minister Giorgos Kotsiras will visit Chicago, USA, from February 23 until February 26 in order to brief members and organisations of Greeks Abroad on the government’s recent initiatives on postal vote and the foreign ministry’s strategic plan for the Greeks Abroad, the ministry said in an announcement on Friday.
During his visit to Chicago, Kotsiras will meet with His Eminence Metropolitan Nathanael of Chicago, representatives of the Greek community and distinguished personalities of Greek descent.
He will also visit the National Hellenic Museum, The Asia Minor and Pontos Hellenic Research Center, The Center for Hellenic Studies at the University of Chicago, the Greek community’s primary school “Korais” and the Greek American Rehabilitation and Care Centre.
On Sunday 25 February, Kotsiras will attend the liturgy at Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Elmhurst, Chicago, where he will address the Greek community.
