A working meeting between Deputy Interior Minister responsible for Macedonia and Thrace Stathis Konstantinidis and Deputy Chief of Mission at the US Embassy in Greece Maria Olson took place on Wednesday at the Ministry of Macedonia-Thrace in Thessaloniki.
US Consul General in Thessaloniki Jerry Ismail was also present.
According to a Ministry statement, the meeting discussed the targeted policies implemented by the government for the developmental restructuring of Macedonia and Thrace, the progress of significant infrastructure projects under planning and construction in Thessaloniki and Northern Greece, as well as the stabilizing role Greece plays in the Southeastern Mediterranean.
Additionally Konstantinidis and Olson referred to attracting American investments in the fields of energy and high technologies, “given that Northern Greece is home to an attractive ecosystem of innovation, which collects significant human resources of high qualifications, the statement stressed.
