Dr. Siolas, MD,/Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College 2021 and Assistant Professor, NYU Langone Health 2020 – 2021. “As a physician-scientist, my career goal is to pursue research questions with high translational potential for curing patients with gastrointestinal cancers” she said. “Too often, I see patients succumb to cancer due to lack of effective treatment options. This clinical observation has motivated me to pursue research utilizing preclinical mouse models of pancreatic cancer to understand and develop immunological treatments. I conduct research in the field of cancer immunology with important clinical potential. My lab work focuses on understanding how tumor genotype can affect the immune microenvironment and ultimately cancer treatment.”
Dr. Siolas is a graduate of New York’s education system that is one of the best in the United States of America. She was graduated from William Spyropoulos School of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church of Flushing, Benjamin Cardozo H.S., St. John’s University, Stony Brook University MD/PhD program with Cold Spring Harbor Laboratories. She is a member of numerous professional organizations. Her roots are in Tripolis – Arcadia, Limnos, Chios Greece, and Asia Minor in Western Anatolia.
