Dr. John G. Siolas of Bayside and Mattituck, New York was honored by AHEPA Constantine Cassis Chapter 170 of Hempstead, for 50 years lifetime membership and for military service. The event was held by at the  2021Christmas Dinner and Veterans Medal Awards recognition presentation “Honoring Our Veterans” on Sunday, December 12, at JONATHAN’S in New Hyde Park, NY.

“In recognition of 50 years of outstanding service and dedication to the tenets and principles of the order of AHEPA, the Supreme Lodge hereby confers the title of life member upon brother John G. Siolas, Ph.D., chapter 170 – Constantine Cassis – District No. 6 by George G Horiates, Esq. Supreme President, Supreme Lodge Headquarters, Washington DC.

Dr. Siolas was honored as a veteran by chapter 170 president Anastasis Stampolis. “The mission of the order of AHEPA veterans committee is to archive and recognize all veterans of the order and Hellenic community through sound communication and publication,” said President Stampolis.  “Furthermore, to conduct fundraising and philanthropic outreach through a cohesive, limited, yet well-defined activity that reflects well on the order of AHEPA and brings credit to the organization at large.” Dr. John G. Siolas was appointed to the High Council for Greek Education in the U.S. by His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros, primate of the Greek Orthodox Church of America.
