Τhe historical Bridge of Plaka, in Epirus stands again! The bridge, which was restored after catastrophic floods in 2015, is one of the most important monuments of architecture in Greece. The Hellenic Society of Environment and Culture, which represents the “Europa Nostra”, awarded the contributors for the restoration project.
The European Heritage Award was received by the Minister of Culture, Mrs. Lina Mendoni, who thanked all those who worked for the restoration of the Bridge. “We are here to pay tribute to the scientific community and all those who contributed to the project. The award is given to all the contributors, to the ministries, to the scientists, to the local authorities” the minister underlined.
